[24/02/2011] IUCLID 5.3 is now available
A new version of IUCLID is available on the IUCLID website.
The new version of IUCLID includes several updates of the OECD Harmonised Templates used to report information from studies on chemicals. Additional modifications were made:
- to allow the preparation of new dossier types: e.g. Downstream User Report (Article 38 of the REACH Regulation), Notification of Substance in Articles (cf. Article 7(2) of REACH) or Application for Authorisation (cf. Article 62 of REACH).
- to take into account the upcoming publication of the 2nd Adaptation to Technical Progress of the CLP Regulation.
In addition, several other functionalities have been enhanced (details are available in the IUCLID 5.3 release note).
Important note for REACH users: registrants can already install IUCLID 5.3 to be ready to submit dossiers in the new REACH-IT version 2.2 which will be released in April 2011. However IUCLID 5.2 must still be used in order to submit dossiers with the current version of REACH-IT.
Plug-ins currently available for IUCLID 5.2 will have to be updated for IUCLID 5.3. The Helpsystem plug-ins are already available for download. The remaining plug-ins will follow; all of the plug-ins and the web services are expected to be available at the beginning of April.
Installation manuals are included in the installation packages of the distributed and standalone versions and can be obtained from the IUCLID website. The upgrade to IUCLID 5.3 includes a migration step which happens at the first launch of the new IUCLID 5.3 application (in update mode). It is strongly recommended to back-up your data before upgrading to IUCLID 5.3.
